Villa Sistiana is originally a 70-year-old Karst house, completely rebuilt and refurnished in 2016. It's located in the heart of one of Slovenia’s most interesting Karst villages, called Sela na Krasu, with the best view of the Adriatic Sea, in the vicinity of old vineyards and other Karst villas.

The villa features 4 bedrooms with two beds each, plus 3 extra beds. There is a large bath in the bathroom and an extra separate toilet on the ground level. The kitchen, bathroom and sleeping areas have a modern look, and an LCD TV with a DVD player is also available. Almost 200 square meters of living space are at your disposal, including a living room with comfortable seating for 7 people and a passage to the big covered terrace with spectacular views of the Adriatic Sea, Monfalcone, as well as the village and the countryside.

In addition, there is a large garden overlooking the Karst landscape with a small outdoor swimming pool suitable for children (3 x 1.5 m). The nature in the surrounding area provides peace and relaxation, but there are also lots of things to do for recreation and entertainment in the vicinity. There are bicycles in the villa that you can use to visit the local villages and vineyards.

The villa is located on top of a hill in the picturesque village of Sela na Krasu, very close to the border with Italy. In fact, the closest shopping center is located in the Italian town of Monfalcone. The medieval village of Štanjel is only a 15-minute drive away, whereas the sea view overlooks the Gulf of Trieste, which is 6 km away, with popular excursion points such as the Miramare Castle or the Duino Castle, perched on a high cliff above the sea.

You can also rent a boat if you would like to spend the day sailing on the Gulf of Trieste or Piran, or you can even sail further towards Italy or Croatia; with our without a navigator, we can help you with anything you need for your sailing endeavors.

If you would like to taste the local prosciutto (called pršut) or Teran wine, you can speak to the caretaker, Vasja, who can take you to a home wine cellar in the neighboring village or organize a wine tasting with some of the local winemakers and prosciutto producers.

It only takes an hour to drive to the Vipava Valley or to Goriška Brda, where you can also enjoy good food and drinks, as well as many cultural and natural attractions. You can enrich your culinary excursion by including a visit to one of the Karst caves nearby.
